JAPANESE TEMPLE

Japanese Temple is my solo project for Modeling II in UCF. I created a small environment of mainly a building.

For this project, I chose to do a Temple due to my interest of environment modeling.

I enjoy the architecture of Japanese Temple and enjoyed the challenge that came with building it in Maya.

Creating the Temple was very tedious, since I attempted to model it after a real Japanese Temple, named the Kaju-ji Temple.

I had to duplicate many of the assets, such as the railings and the inner roof.

I then drew a trim sheet with detailed textures for the Temple.

For my final result, I attempted to create some lighting inside of the Temple and on the outside where the lamps are. It was my first time experimenting with lighting.
